I don't know what they've done in the latest versions, but in the version I played 20+ years ago, there was no strategy around the weapons per se -- you had to guess which weapon was used in the murder, just like you had to guess which room it was in and who did it, so there was a strategy around using certain weapons in your suppositions at certain times during the game.
Whether the weapon shot bullets or was bent or whatever is simply aesthetic.
The weapons could just be numbered, as could the rooms and people, and the game would be exactly the same.
We played that a weapon moved into your room when you were making a supposition, just on the logic that you were examining it for clues.
And I've seen a variant in which each weapon stays in a certain room, and you have to go download superstar life game it up and carry it yourself.
But I don't think the rules say that.
The two movements that we take when we make a sugestion is: weapon and token.
The movent of token could prejudice the plans of the other player.
Could the movent of the weapon be a clue?
If the player "marks" the sucessive movents of the gun for example room at room, in order, don't he make a kind of conclusion?
You could play the game equally well without having the little weapon pieces at all.
They serve no purpose other than to look nice on the board, and remind you what weapons are available for guessing about.
The other use and a good one, since it's the best bit about the game is that you can bring them into the room when you make the suggestion, and act out the murder with the props as you make the suggestion.
That's really the most fun thing about Cluedo, IMO.
As for watching where they move around the board - this isn't of any benefit.
If you're making a note of who guesses about what weapon, then where the physical piece of plastic moves to at the time is of no interest tactically.
In all the Clue games I've played, the best use for the weapon props has almost always been as a visual reminder of the suggestion that is being made.
It is even more useful in Clue: Master Detective, since multiple cards may be shown in one suggestion.
The visual aid helps people with short attention spans or bad memories by giving them a reminder of the suggestion without having to ask over and over again what the suggestion was.
I TRY to pay attention, but I do have a bad memory, so I admit I have used this memory aid from time to time.
However, I'd think that it is even more useful for children who play the game, since they are typically more easily distracted than adults and could often use the help.
The function of the weapons miniatures in the game is decorative or a strategy?
It makes it clear to all what the suggestion is, the suspect also being there and in the room in question of course.
Then there can be no argument "Oh, I thought you'd said the spanner, not the rope!
I usually put the suspect piece and the weapon together at the end of the room, away from any other pieces.
It makes it clear to all what the suggestion is, the suspect also being there and in the room in question of course.
Then there can be no argument "Oh, I thought you'd said the spanner, not the rope!
This works the first couple of turns.
This week I played a 6-player game and we often ended up in download superstar life game same room you get called to a room by someone, you roll and if you fall short decide to stay in the room and call a new suspect and weapon to the room.
How do you deal with 4 pawns and three weapons in the same room?
It makes it clear to all what the suggestion is, the suspect also being there and in the room in question of course.

How do this web page deal with 4 pawns and three weapons in the same room?
We play by the rules, since you rolled a die you've already chosen not to stay in the room you were summoned to and make a suggestion.
The moment it becomes a problem, we move the other weapons out of the room, and the one in the current suggestion is next to the suspect while the other pawns are away from the suggestion group.
We play by the rules, since you rolled a die you've already chosen not to say in the room you were summoned to and make a suggestion.
Really, those are the actual rules?.
I never played by that.
In fact, we thought it was the opposite: that you must roll and move before suggesting, even if that requires you to leave and re-enter the room.
The moment it becomes a problem, we move the other weapons out of the room, and the one in the current suggestion is next to the suspect while the other pawns are away from the suggestion group.
This is how I've always done it, too.
Of course, visual aids are useful for click here you what suggestions were made on previous turns, but the rules and guidelines don't obligate you to hold on to those reminders forever.
Edit: "Guidelines" became "godliness" on my smartphone?.
The moment it becomes a problem, we move the other weapons out of the room, and download superstar life game one in the current suggestion is next to the suspect while the other pawns are away from the suggestion group.
Okay, I can see what you mean.
That would work nicely.
We play by the rules, since you rolled a die you've click the following article chosen not to say in the room you were summoned to and make a suggestion.
I have the dutch Parker edition from last century download superstar life game gonna say from the eighties based on the picture on the back lid but 1996 figures among the small print The rules for this edition seem to differ on a couple of points.
For example after taking out download superstar life game murderer, weapon and room, all three stacks are mixed and distributed among players whereas people on this forum have rules stating that every player should get a card from the individual stacks before the remaining cards are mixed together.
On movement which for some reason is mentioned on multiple pages throughout the rule book the rules state: p5, § playing detective, 3.
When entering a room, you may announce a suspicion.
Hint: Download superstar life game pawn may stay as many turns as you want in the same room, until you can bar that room from your investigation.
Doors do not count as a square.
When inside a room, you can no longer move.
Only during your next turn, may you use the secret tunnel to move without throwing dice to another room.
Then your turn is over.
The way I read the Dutch rules is that you start the turn by rolling and stop moving when inside a room.
I think this way is more elegant lest you roll a 4 and have to waste a turn in a corridor.
Especially in a 6 player game you're bound to be moved across the board when somebody suspects your pawn.
In a game of deduction it makes no sense to waste turns because you have to crawl your way from one room to the next only to be teleported across the board when the door is in arm's reach Geekdo, BoardGameGeek, the Geekdo logo, and the BoardGameGeek logo are trademarks of BoardGameGeek, LLC.

Clue Cluedo outside the U.
It was originally published in Leeds, England in 1949.
It was devised by Anthony E.
You move around the game board a mansionas of one of the game's six suspects or, collecting clues from which to deduce which suspect murdered the game's perpetual victim: Mr.
Black, outside of U.
Several games, books, and a film have been released as part of the Clue franchise.
The board game forms a chronology.
Overall, several spin-offs have been released, some featuring extra characters, and for some, different gameplay.
More recent editions have restored the name Boddy Mansion to the mansion, and say the mansion is located in Boston, Massachusetts in the year 1776 located in Hampshire, England outside of the U.
Shortly thereafter, Pratt and spin master games shark mania board game wife presented the game to Waddingtons' executive, Norman Watson, who immediately purchased the game and provided its trademark name of "Cluedo" a play on "clue" and "Ludo", which is Latin for "I play".
Though the patent was granted in 1947, due to post-war shortages, the game was not officially launched until 1949, at which time the game was simultaneously licensed to Parker Brothers in the United States for publication, where download superstar life game was re-named "Clue" along with other minor changes.
However, there were several differences between the original game concept and that initially published in 1949, In particular, Pratt's original design calls for ten characters, one of whom was to be designated the victim by random drawing prior to the start of the game.
These ten suspects included the eliminated Mr.
Gold, Miss Grey, Mrs.
Silver, Nurse White, and Colonel Yellow.
The game allowed for you to play of up to eight remaining characters, providing for nine suspects in total.
Originally there were eleven rooms, including the eliminated gun room and cellar.
In addition, there were nine weapons including the axe, the bomb, the syringe, the poison, the walking stick, and the fireplace poker.
Some of these unused weapons and characters would appear in later spin-off weapons in board game clue of the booty.
Some game-play aspects were different as well.
Notably, the remaining playing cards were distributed into the rooms to be retrieved, rather than dealt directly to the players.
Players also had to land on another player in order to make suggestions about that player's character through the use of special counter-tokens, and once exhausted, a player could no longer make suggestions.
There were other minor differences, all of which would be updated by the game's initial release and remain essentially unchanged in the standard classic editions of the game.
Equipment: The game's current equipment consists of a board which shows the rooms, corridors and secret passages of an English country house called Boddy Mansion, although previously named variously as Tudor Close or Tudor Hall, and in some editions Tudor Manor or Tudor Mansion.
The game box also includes several colored playing pieces to represent characters, miniature murder weapon props, one or two six-sided dice, three sets of cards, each set describing the aforementioned rooms, characters and weapons, Solution Cards envelope to contain one card from each set of cards, and a Detective's Notes pad on which are printed lists of rooms, weapons and characters, so players download superstar life game keep detailed notes during the game.
The pieces are typically made of coloured plastic, shaped like chess pawns, or character figurines.
Occasionally they are made from wood or pewter.
The standard edition of Cluedo comes with six basic tokens representing the following original characters:blaaa Suspects: Original Suspects: Rev.
Each of the four corner rooms contains a secret passage that leads to the room on the opposite diagonal corner of the map.
The center room often referred to as the Cellar, or Stairs is inaccessible to the players, but contains the solution envelope, and is not otherwise used during gameplay.
Colored "start" spaces encircle link outer perimeter which corresponds to each player's suspect token.
Miss Scarlet starts at the red space, Colonel Mustard starts at the yellow space, Mrs.
White starts at the white space, Mr.
Green starts at the green space, Mrs.
Peacock starts at the blue space, and Professor Plum starts at the purple space.
As alluded to above, blocking the entrance to a room is one way to prevent an opponent from entering the desired room and making a suggestion.
Choice of Suspect: The first opportunity is in choosing the initial playing piece.
Peacock has an immediate advantage of being one space closer to the first room than any of the other players.
Scarlet traditionally moves first.
Plum also has an advantage of moving to the Study, then through the secret passage to the Kitchen, the hardest room to get to.
Navigating the Board: The next opportunity is the choice of initial rooms to enter.
Peacock has an advantage in that she is closest to the Conservatory, a corner room with a secret passage, enabling a player on his turn to move immediately to another room and make a suggestion without rolling the dice.
Making as many suggestions as possible gives a player an advantage to gain information.
Therefore, moving into a new room as frequently as possible is one way to meet this goal.
Players should make good use of the secret passages.
Following the shortest path between rooms then is a good choice, even if a player already holds that room in his hand.
As mentioned earlier, blocking passage of another player prevents them from attaining rooms from which to make suggestions.
Various single space tracks on the board can, therefore, become traps, which are best avoided by a player when planning a path from room to room.
Create your own and start something epic.
